Before you have students begin a multimedia writing project, go over the areas in which they will be evaluated. This Multimedia Writing Evaluation sheet gives you ideas to start with. Multimedia writing projects need to start with a general plan of action. Use this Multimedia Writing Project Planning List to begin the process.
Students should begin the process by creating a storyboard that gives some general design parameters to their project. This Multimedia Writing Storyboard gives three distinct planning types. As students gather resources to use in their project, they can document those using this Multimedia Writing Project Resource sheet.
As the project comes close to completion, the students can check to see that they've included required components using a Multimedia Writing Project Checklist. Before having a teacher evaluate their projects, students should take the time to have one of their peers review their work using this Peer Evaluation Worksheet.
Depending on the age level of the student completing the multimedia writing project, you can use the Evaluation Checklist #1 for less complex projects and the Evaluation Checklist #2 for more involved projects.
