Physical Education

The Physical Education department at Forman is an integral part of every student in grades one through five. We believe a strong and healthy body makes a strong mind.

The program provides a wide variety of activities, skills, lead-up games to sports and an abundance of life-time activities, low organization games and activities that will help students build confidence, self-worth, sharing and good sportsmanship.

The program is designed to help every student develop the ability to become physically fit, to help improve and motivate student's achievement in motor skills, coordinate programs of large group instruction as well as, small group instruction. We want our students to participate in a variety of activities at a level of skills that produces a feeling of satisfaction and achievement.

OUR PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHERS

Kathy Bolla
I spent my childhood years growing up in Pittsburg, PA learning to love physical fitness and sports. I was in every activity possible and decided then to have a career in this area. Penn State University is where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Health and Physical Education. After college, I spent four years in the U. S. Air Force working in the Physical Therapy department of a major medical center. For the last twelve years I have been teaching Physical Education here at Forman Elementary.

In the evenings I enjoy teaching water aerobics and swim lessons.
