Amy Mortensen-Chalfant
I am thrilled to be at Forman for my tenth year working as a Speech/Language Pathologist. In 1998, after a tour of Texas colleges, I received my Master's Degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Texas's Callier Center in Dallas. My favorite part of my job is having the opportunity to see all my students make such fantastic gains as communicators, as they travel from Kindergarten all the way to 5th grade and beyond

I have taught in PISD full time for eight years and then part-time for the past three years. I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas in 1992 with a Master's degree in Communication Disorders. I began my career as a speech pathologist right here at Forman working from 1992-1998. I also taught in the preschool program for 2 years and now I am back at Forman part-time. I love working with children and sharing in their communication successes!

Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist Asst.
I live in Frisco, TX. This is my very first year at Forman and PISD. I started on October 31st. I am excited to be a part of this wonderful school that cares so much about their students. I graduated in 1998 with a B.S. in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from the Univ. of Texas at Dallas. My first job out of college was with the Early Childhood Intervention(ECI) program of Collin County. From there I went on to be a speech-therapy assistant with Collin County Special Education Cooperative (CCSEC) in Wylie. I resigned in 2002 to be a stay-at-home mom which I have done for the last 4 years until just about a month ago when I started here. I am married with two wonderful boys ages 4 and 7. I love spending time with my family, cooking, reading, and going to the movies. P.S—I also have a twin sister named Naomi.
