Fourth Grade Curriculum

Julie Shannon

Julie joined the Gulledge team after beginning her career in Special Education at PISD’s Haun Elementary where she was named Beginning Teacher of the Year. After a successful career in marketing, she completed the Region 10 Alternative Certification program in 2003-2004. Julie holds a
Bachelor’s of Science degree from Texas Tech University.

Joy Hagens

Joy Hagens received a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1976 and a M.Ed. in Elementary Education with a specialization in Spanish from Texas A&M at Commerce in 1989. She taught third, fourth, and sixth grades in Mesquite for 9 years. Joy taught ESL for the DISD Amnesty Program and science for the Science Place in Dallas. She has been with Plano ISD since 1998 and is now a member of the fourth grade team at Gulledge.

Anna Myatt

Anna Myatt graduated from Michigan State University with a bacherlor's degree in Psychology and Employee Relations. She became a special education teacher at Gulledge in 2006.

Jason Petersen joined the fourth grade team in the 2009-2010 school year.

Jennifer Madding

Jennifer Madding began her teaching career in 1993 after receiving a B.A. in Education from Oklahoma Baptist University. For the last several years, she has taught for the Paris Independent School District where she was named Region 8 Gifted Teacher of the Year. Jennifer has taught a variety of subjects and grade levels but her favorite is fourth grade!
