• We will have three portfolio conferences and one portfolio celebration this year.

• The final conference will be a culmination of the entire year and will show your child's progress throughout the year.

• Your child's teacher must know how your child is to go home each day.

• If your child is a car rider they will dismiss out the front of the building.

• If your child is a biker or walker they will be dismissed out the front of the building.

• If your child needs to go home a different way we must have a note from the parent or you may call the office to leave the information.

• SAFETY IS OUR PRIMARY CONCERN!

• Any work that your child needs to complete at home will be marked HW.

• Most homework will be due the next day unless another day is specified on the paper.

• Monday and Thursday will be spelling homework.

• Tuesday will be math homework.

• There will be a short reading assignment most nights for your child to complete.

• First grade will eat lunch from 11:15 to 11:45 a.m. everyday.

• You may eat with your child on the stage in the cafetorium.

• For security reasons, other students may not eat with you and your child unless their parents are present.

• Your child may purchase and charge snacks to his or her account.

• Please discuss with your child whether you choose for them to do this.
