PTA FUNDRAISERS

Hendrick's PTA utilizes various fundraisers to ensure the continuity of the events and activities enhancing our students' experiences at Hendrick.  The PTA provides each Hendrick student with a yearly planner/agenda that is instrumental in ensuring each child has the ability to organize daily academic life.  We also sponsor the 8th grade end-of-year celebration and the fall socials for each grade.

To help raise needed funds, the PTA makes available PE Uniforms, School Supplies and Spirit Wear for sale.  Below are some details:

School Supplies - Each year, the PTA pre-packages all the school supplies needed by grade.  Thank you to all the parents who purchased their school supplies, we sold out quickly!  During the school year, the supply cart will be available for those last minute replacements.

Spirit Wear - Show your Hendrick Hawk spirit by purchasing and wearing this year's t-shirts and sweatshirts.  If you did not purchase yours at schedule pick-up, some may still be available at the front office.  For more information, please contact Woodie Shea.

PE Uniforms - Easy PE uniform shopping with Hendrick t-shirts, shorts and a high quality carryall were available at schedule pick-up.  For more information, please contact Ef'Anne Strumpell.

Supply Cart - The supply cart is open several days a week to provide day to day items as well as supplemental items the students need for school. Times and days are flexible for volunteers. Please contact Jan Neal.

Passive Fundraisers - Each year your Hendrick PTA looks for creative an easy ways to raise money without any extra cost or time incurred by our families or friends: This is called Passive fundraising. These funds support Parent Education, Citizenship, and Youth Protection programs, and various other classroom enrichments for our children. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the corporations, and their programs, who have generously agreed to help you contribute to your Hendrick Middle School PTA.   Here’s how each program works:

KROGER: By having the store checker scan your card before your order is totaled, we will earn a 1% rebate on cumulative purchases.

CENTRAL MARKET: By having the store checker scan your card before your order is totaled, we will earn a 5% rebate on cumulative purchases.

TOM THUMB: By linking the Hendrick PTA’s account number 10817 to your Tom Thumb Rewards Card, Tom Thumb’s Good Neighbor Program will donate a 1% rebate of cumulative purchases to Hendrick PTAS. If you already have a Tom Thumb Rewards Card, you can do this by visiting your local Tom Thumb store’s Customer Service Counter. If you do not have a Reward Card, simply visit a local Tom Thumb store, fill out a Reward Card application and link our number 10817 to your card. You may also link your card to more than one organization and your purchases will be divided.

ALBERTSONS: By linking Hendrick PTA’s account number 49001007480 to your Albertsons Preferred Savings Card, Albertsons Community Partners Program will donate up to 4% rebate of cumulative purchases to Hendrick PTA. If you already have a Albertsons Preferred Savings Card, you can do this by visiting your local Albertsons store’s Customer Service Center. You may also either complete the attached form and return it to school, or register online: www.albertsons.com

*TARGET: If you wish to take part in the Take Charge of Education program, mail in a Target Visa Guest Card application designating Hendrick Middle School as the organization you would like to support. Target will donate 1% of all Target Visa Guest Card purchases to Hendrick Middle School. Current Target Visa Guest Card holders can call 1-800-316-6142, or register online: www.target.com, and designate Hendrick as the fundraising school of their choice. 6th Grade families, or families new to our community, please remember to change your designation from your previous school to Hendrick. To confirm that Hendrick is the school you have designated, please look at the last page of your monthly statement. It should confirm this information.

**RECYCLED INK CARTRIDGES: A recycling program that pays for empty inkjet, laser, fax and copier cartridges. Value depends on the style and are of the used item. Please send these items in a bag or box, since damaged items lose their value, to school with your child.

CASH DONATIONS: Cash donations are greatly appreciated. Not only do we keep 100% of your donation, but it is also tax deductible for you!
