VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Volunteers are needed for
a variety of activities within the school community through out the
year. Whether you have one hour, one day, one week that you can spare,
your help is always needed. If you are interested in any of the following
activities, please contact the coordinators. If there is something
that you would like to do and you do not see the activity listed below,
please contact Sue Burke
for further information.
Library/Office/Copy
Aides - A number of volunteers are needed to help in the office,
library and copy room each week. Hours and days are flexible to accomodate
anyone's schedule. If you are able to help all the time or once every
so often, your time is greatly appreciated. Please contact Joan
Havala.
Mailings - Volunteers
are needed to help collate and mail newsletters and notices from the
PTA on an as needed basis. Please contact Jennifer
Gibson.
No Zero Hero -
Volunteers are needed to help with this pilot program at Hendrick
Middle School. Volunteers are needed to help pass out ice cream and
certificates of recognition during the assembly period. This program
occurs once every six weeks at the end of the school day. Please contact
Sue Burke.
Staff Appreciation
- Volunteers are needed to help in a variety of areas. Items such
as cups, plates, or napkins are needed for a variety of activities
all year. Additionally, there are times that we provide dishes to
the teachers, staff and support groups within the school. Please contact
Kim Pyatt.
Student Activities
- Volunteers are needed to chaperone several student events throughout
the year. Please contact the grade level coordinators for these events.
6th Grade - Ef'Anne Strumpell;
7th Grade - Woodie Shea; 8th
Grade - Open.
Supply Cart -
The supply cart is open several days a week to provide day to day
items as well as supplemental items the students need for school.
Times and days are flexible for volunteers. Please contact Jan
Neal.
8th Grade Celebration
- Volunteers are needed to help set up, chaperone and clean up this
year end activity. Please contact Sue
