Back Row: Ted Sealey
Front Row: Linda Aviles, Dawn McMillan, Leanna Nash, Team Leader

Leanna Nash: I am so excited to be working at Huffman Elementary with the fantastic Fifth grade team. I know that this year is going to be great!

This is my 7th year of teaching. I have spent all of them in Plano. I have taught both 4th and 5th grades.
I grew up in Sherman, Texas. I graduated from Sherman High, then continued on to college at Austin College in Sherman as well. I have my bachelor’s degree is Psychology and my Master’s degree in Education.
My favorite pastime is the same as much of the United States-I love baseball, especially the Texas Rangers! I enjoy almost all sports for that matter. I really like to be outside doing just about anything. One of my favorite activities outside of school is running with my dog, Saydie. I also have a cat, Mench, and a fish, Ranger.
The motto I try to live by is: Live life to fullest, it’s the only one you’ve got! I feel a day without laughter is a day wasted!

Dawn McMillan: I was born and raised in Austin, Texas! My husband name is James, and I have a 4 1/2 year old step-daughter named Isabella, as well as a new baby boy on the way due this November!
This is my 7th year of teaching. I attended Southwest Texas State University, and received a Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. I also attended graduate school at Concordia Lutheran University where I received a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction! I am so thrilled to be here at Huffman!

Linda Aviles: I am a new teacher to Huffman this year. I just moved to Texas in August with my friend and my dog, King. I was born and raised in a suburb of Chicago, Illinois. The warm weather and friendly people brought me down to Plano. I love this city and school. I graduated from Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago this past May, so this is my very first year teaching. I love the fifth grade!! I am looking forward to the growth our fifth grade will make this year and the fun times we will have learning together.

Ted Sealey: I grew up in Dallas, Texas, but my favorite place is Colorado. I have two children in college attending the University of Colorado and Oklahoma State University. My wife, Kimberly, is the Music Teacher at Rose Haggar Elementary. We also have two Golden Retrievers named Murphy and Rider.
