Nancy
Matthews, Team Leader: I am originally from Upstate New York...where
snow is plentiful! I graduated from Oswego State University and earned
my Master's Degree at Texas Women's University. My husband, Rick, and
I have one son named Ryan. Our miniature dachshund, Maverick, rules the
house. I started teaching in Plano in 1980 after teaching in New York,
Louisiana, and Tennessee. Besides my family, teaching is my love. Huffman
has been my school “home” for 3 years now. It’s a great

Kathryn Pickle: Originally from England, I have lived in the United States since 1983. I started out in Texas, but since getting married in 1989 I have lived in Florida, Washington and Connecticut. In 2002 I returned to Texas, settling down in Plano with my husband and three children. My children all attend Plano schools, my youngest son is a 6th grader at Frankford Middle School, my daughter is an 9th grader at Shepton High School, and my oldest son is a 10th grader at the same school. Caroline Presley: I graduated from Baylor University in 2000 with a BBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship. I worked for three years as a financial analyst for a large bank. I decided to follow my true calling and received my teacher certification through the University of Texas at Dallas. This is my third year teaching first grade at Huffman Elementary. I am married to my best friend Jason.We enjoy traveling and spending time outdoors. I look forward to another awesome year! GO HAWKS!

Deanna Murray: I graduated from Baylor University with a BBA in International Business and Marketing. I graduated in 1997 and went to work for an IT consulting firm called Andersen Consulting. After 3 years I decided to pursue something more fulfilling and I received my alternative certification. I have taught at Huffman for 4 years. I am married and have a new baby girl named Lily. You

Natalie Taylor: I grew up in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a degree in Early Childhood Education. This is my third year to teach 1st grade and my first year at Huffman. I enjoy spending time with my family and chasing my crazy dog around the house! Aimee Newsom: After graduating with a degree in Interdisciplinary
Studies with a focus on Elementary Education and Reading from University
of North Texas, I started my career in DISD. I have earned four certifications
and endorsements in Reading, Early Childhood, Elementary self-contained
(1-8), and English as a Second Language. During my first year of teaching
I was recognized as a Dallas ISD Reading Academy Laureate. This is my seventh
year as an educator and I love what I do and do what I love. It's a blessing
to be at Huffman enjoying every minute of helping young people reach their
potential. Outside of work I raise and teach my own little people, Eva and
Ben (aka Eva Knievel and Big Ben). My husband Jef is one of the founders
