Carpool/tutorial buses: |
|
The first week of carpool drop off and pick up is always congested. |
|
Please allow extra time during the first week and 2nd Monday for |
|
carpool issues. I cannot stress enough the importance of being |
|
patient and following the guidelines during carpool times. Safety is |
|
the number one priority of our students at all times. |
|
• The lower carpool will be for buses and daycare vans only! |
|
• 4th and 5th grade carpoolers will pick up in the new drive area behind the building |
|
| located outside of the 4th and 5th grade exit doors. Please enter this area by coming from the park side of the school on Channel Isle, turning into lower carpool and turning behind the cafeteria. When you exit this drive area, you will turn right and enter the lower bus pool lanes. |
|
• Upper carpool will be for K-3 pick up. Each grade will have a designated area. After |
|
| you pick up, circle around and exit the parking lot turning right towards Winding Hollow. |
|
• Rainy day pick up will always be a little more congested. If it is bad, our goal is to |
|
| keep the children warm and dry. K-3 pickup on those days will be in the lower carpool area. If we go to rainy day pick up a sign will be taped to marquee by 2:30. |
|
• Both lower and upper carpool can be used for drop off. |
|
• If you have a 4th or 5th grader with a younger sibling, they will be picked up with the |
|
| younger sibling in upper carpool. |
|
• Please have a sign ready to hold up or taped to the passenger side window with your |
|
| child’s name and grade placed on it so that we can radio ahead. |
|
• If there are any changes to this plan, we will let you know in advance to the changes |
|
| being made. |
|
• You may drop your child off as early as 7:00 in the morning. Please use the lower |
|
| carpool to do so. The kids may enter through the cafeteria/gym entrance. |
|
• The Upper carpool drop off point will be along the sidewalk. Walkers will use the |
|
| same procedure as the upper carpool drop offs. |
|
• Being that we are a KEY school, we will have access to using late buses for tutoring |
|
| purposes on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the year starting on October 9th. | |
