Beejae Hawkins: I have been the art teacher at Huffman since 1999. I live in Frisco with my husband and 3 cats. I'm a pilot and I used to have a plane, but now I have to drive every place. I have 2 sons, one is a Captain in the Air Force. He has been to Iraq 6 times. He is an instructor pilot at Whiting Naval Base in Pernsacola, Florida. My other son is a Marine and will be stationed at Iwakuni, Japan for 2 years beginning Thanksgiving of '07. He and his wife have our first grand child, a little girl named Cyana who is 1 1/2 years old.

I painted my kitchen my favorite color, PURPLE. My other hobbies are cooking, reading and singing in my church choir. Our choir is singing Messiah for Christmas, which I am really looking for to. I also take a watercolor class at CCCC. Huffman is a warm and friendly place with lots of smiles and that makes me feel good. It is an awesome school in which to teach.
