Fudge is a furry brown bear that eats, lives, and sleeps in the Huffman Hawk’s Library. He is a precocious fellow and loves to entertain children. Fudge entertains kindergarten and first graders when they come to the library for lessons and story times. He begins each of his visits with the following rhyme:

My name is Fudge; I’m a bear that’s brown,
My favorite game is “clown around.”

I eat berries, nuts, and fruit,
I like you; I think you’re cute!

I can swim, and I can climb,
I can sleep ‘most anytime.
When I sleep I go “zzzzzz,
When I sleep I go zzzzzz.”
