Sandy Williams: Hi! I’m Sandy Williams, one of the two librarians at Huffman Elementary. This is my fourth year here. Last year I began sharing this job with Gayla Vinson. Together with our assistant, Susan, we refer to ourselves as the “Library Grannies.” Our goal is for the students at Huffman Elementary to enjoy literature in a non-threatening environment in our lovely, newly renovated library. My husband, Charles, and I are the parents of three children and proudly show pictures of our three grandchildren. Our family is spread from West Texas to Colorado and back to Kansas City. With an empty house and room to spare, we have adopted two parrotlets, the world’s smallest parrots. Skye Bird-Dee is a blue girl, a year and a half old. Vinson: I am so fortunate to share being Librarian at Huffman with
Sandy Williams. I have been a librarian in Plano ISD for 28 years, but I
am still learning so much from Mrs. Williams and the students and staff
here at Huffman. I’m so happy to be here and watch Huffman Hawks soar
high, especially when they are enjoying reading.

Susan Milburn: I joined the PISD staff in 2002. My husband, Neil, and I moved to America from England in 1982. Becoming citizens in 2006. I have three sons. Two of which were born in England. They are both married to adorable Texans, and each have a son of their own. Nate, our youngest was born in Texas and is a senior at Plano Senior High this year.
