Carolyn Curfman: I was born in San Antonio, Texas, however as a young child I lived in several states. My educational background is varied with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Pathology and Audiology and a Masters in Elementary Education from the University of North Texas. I am certified in Language, Learning Disabilities and Gifted and Talented Education. This is my twenty seventh year teaching in Plano and my fifth year as a Literacy Specialist. I have been married to the same wonderful husband for thirty nine years. I have a daughter, son and daughter-in-law. We also have a seven year old grand daughter who is the spice of our life. My hobbies include reading, traveling and crafts. Having lived in Mexico City, Mexico for two years and acquiring the taste for homemade corn tortillas, I could eat Mexican food daily. I am passionate about teaching and excited to be at Huffman as part of the Key School Initiative.
