Jennifer Eppler: I grew up overseas and was fortunate to have the opportunity to live in three foreign countries including: Trinidad, Ecuador and Indonesia. At thirteen I left home to attend Santa Catalina, a college preparatory boarding school in Monterey, California. Upon graduating from high school, I attended St. Mary's College in Moraga, California, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts. After graduating from St. Mary’s, I moved to Texas and decided to get my teaching credentials. This decision embarked me on the greatest journey of my life.

I began teaching 15 years ago in Midland Texas. I taught sixth grade for five years. During this time, I began attending SMU in the summers to work on my Masters Degree in Liberal Arts which I completed in 1998. I moved to Plano in 1999 and began teaching at Huffman. I had the pleasure of teaching fifth grade for 7 years, and I enjoyed every moment of it.

In the winter 0f 2006 I began my endorsement classes at SMU in Gifted and Talented Education and will begin my fourth year as Huffman’s PACE specialist.

I am excited for this new year that I know will provide me with both a challenge and opportunity.
