The teachers at Memorial Elementary yelled, "Reading Rocks!" as they celebrated the grand opening of their Literacy Library. Principal Maricela Helm and Pilar Westfried were elated to cut the ribbons and open the doors to Guided Reading! Over 600 titles of leveled readers in English and Spanish are available for checkout. Pilar Westfried, Bilingual Literacy Specialist explained the leveling system and the borrowing system after the ribbon cutting. Reading Rocks at Memorial!
