Summer reading has begun!!  The Texas Reading Club Jubilee: 1958-2008 for children entering grades K through 5 is now in progress at any branch of The Plano Public Library System (PPLS).  This program is FREE!  All you have to do is pick up a summer reading log at any branch of the PPLS right now—the Harrington library at 1501 18th St. is the branch closest to Memorial students—and read ten (10) hours to receive a certificate, free paperback book, and other great giveaways.

Much more is available to children and teens at the public library this summer.  If you’ll be in grades 1-5 next year, you may also attend FREE entertaining programs, including puppet shows, Art with the Vet, Mad Science, Jim Dunlap’s Critters and more!  Students entering 6th grade will want to check out the Texas Teens Read 2008- GAME ON!  FREE movies, Wii games, board games and more await you at the public library, so hurry to the Harrington branch right now!  For more information, go to www.planolibrary.org
