Fourth Grade Curriculum Highlights:

The following is a glimpse of topics that the fourth graders will be studying in the upcoming month.

Math:  place value through millions, fractions, adding and subtracting decimals, measurement, graphs, and problem solving

Reading:   sequence of events, important and unimportant information, cause and effect, compare and contrast, and main idea

Spelling:  contractions, words from science,   prefixes, suffixes, homophones, and words from math

Writing:  story writing, informational writing using the six traits of writing, pronouns, prepositions, and combining sentences

Integrated:   review the regions of Texas while focusing on the Blackland Prairie, learn how technology and the Interurban Railway Station boosted the Texas economy, economic development and growth of Texas, and the components of the free enterprise system

Cuarto Grado La mejor parte del Curriculum:

El siguiente es un resumen de los temas que estudiarán los alumnos del cuarto grado durante este mes. 

Matemáticas:  valor posicional hacia los millones, fracciones, sumar y restar decimales, medición, gráficas, y resolver problemas 

Lectura:   secuencia de eventos, información que es importante y que no es importante, causa y efecto, comparación y contraste, e idea principal 

Ortografía:  contracciones, palabras de las ciencias, prefijos, sufijos, homófonos, y palabras de las matemáticas 

Escritura:  escritura de cuentos, escritura informacional, escritura usando las seis características de escribir, pronombres, preposiciones, y combinar oraciones

Integrado:   repasar las regiones de Texas mientras enfocar en la Llanura Tierranegra, aprender como la tecnología y el ferrocarril Interurbano mejoró la economía de Texas, desarrollo económico y crecimiento de Texas, y los componentes del sistema de negocios libres
