.: Carter-BloodCare and the American Bloodbanking Association recognized Plano Senior High School's annual blood drive as the largest high school blood drive in the United States.

.: EXCELLENCE IN TEACHING AND ADMINISTRATION
.: PSHS 2005 Teacher of the Year, Karen Shepherd, was awarded PISD Secondary Teacher of the Year, Region X Secondary Teacher of the Year, AND State Teacher of the Year!!!
.: Rhonda Rust, PSHS Beginning Teacher of the Year, was named the District 8-5A Volleyball Coach of the Year.
.: STUDENT ACADEMIC RECOGNITION
.: The Plano Senior High Speech Team won a National Title at the Princeton University Speech and Debate Tournament!
.: 27 out of 33 AP Music Theory students qualified with a 3, 4, or 5 on the AP Music Theory Examination.
.: Student Congress received recognition from the Texas Association of Student Councils for outstanding projects in the following areas: Health and Safety, Pride and Patriotism, and Energy and the Environment
.: Student Congress was recognized by the Texas Association of Student Councils as an Outstanding Student Council.
.: The Plano Sr. FFA members had a great showing at the Collin County Livestock Show. Honors received include:

1. Champion Angus Female and Grand Champion British Heifer
2. Champion Simmental Heifer and Grand Champion Exotic Heifer
3. Reserve Champion Red Brangus Female
4. 1st place Santa Gertrudis heifer
5. 1st place Polled Hereford heifer
6. 2nd Place Polled Hereford Heifer
7. 1st place Light Weight British Steer
8. 1st place Light Weight Exotic steer
9. Reserve Champion Black OPB Hog
10. Reserve Champion Hampshire lamb
11. 3rd place Goat
12. 5th place pen of fryers (market rabbits)

.: 30 Health Occupation Students for passing their CNA tests. This is a 100% passing rate!
.: The Plano Senior High School Mock Trial team was selected as one of eight teams to advanced to the Regional Competition.
.: 90 PSHS HOSA students attended the AREA COMPETITON in FT. Worth and 41 students will advance to STATE Competition in San Antonio, TX in April.
.: PSHS Academic Decathlon team won the State Championship earning more than $23,000 in scholarships.
.: Two PSHS students qualified for Nationals at the FBLA State Competition.
.: In Pharr-San Juan Alamo, 4 students made it into the State Finals and one was named a State Champion. We won third place overall.
.: PSHS Speech team is in the Elite 4 for the National Public Policy Forum. The winning team claims a $5000 grand prize and the “Bickel & Brewer Cup.” The final four teams earn an all-expense-paid trip to the April 21-23, 2006, finals at New York University.
.: PERFORMING ART ACHIEVEMENT
.: Two PSHS students were selected to perform in the Texas Music Educators Association's All-State Band.
.: Ten PSHS students were selected to perform in the T.M.E.A. Region 24 All-Region Band..
.: PSHS Symphony Strings come in 2nd runner up in the Texas Music Educators Assoc. String Honor Orchestra Competition in October 2005.
.: PSHS Symphony Orchestra came in 6th in the Texas Music Educators Assoc. Full Orchestra Honor Orchestra Competition in July 2006.
.: Four Wildcats will be representing our school and district as members of the Texas All State Honor Choir.
.: ATHLETIC AWARDS AND ACHIEVEMENT
.: Plano Wildcat Football team were the District 8-5A Champions. They advanced to the Regional Quarterfinals.
.: The Plano Lady Wildcats Volleyball team were District 8-5A Champions. They advanced to the Regional Finals.
.: PSHS Volleyball team had the following honors: Most Valuable Player, Outstanding Setter, two players made First Team, two players made Second Team, one player made Honorable Mention Team, and one player was named to the Texas Girls Coaches Association's All-State Volleyball Team!
.: 2005 National Soccer Coaches Association of America Team Academic Award for exemplary performance in the classroom as a team. (7th year in a row)
.: PSHS Cheerleaders received 2nd place in the Medium Varsity Division at the ACA Nationals in Ft.Worth.
.: PSHS JV Swim and Diving Team won the District Championship. The girls team finished a 9-0 dual meet season with a first place finish in the swimming and diving district championship. The girls team also combined with the boys team to win the Dallas Dual Championship in November. The boys team finished it's season with a 8-1 dual meet record. One loss and one win coming from a varsity opponent. The boys have now won 4 consecutive JV District Championships.
.: Lady Wildcats Basketball advanced to the first round of the playoffs.
.: Boys Basketball Team were the District 8-5A Champions.
.: PSHS Girls Varsity Swim Team won the Region 2 Championship! Boys Varsity placed second at the Region 2 Championship.
.: Plano qualified four wrestlers for the Regional Tournament.
.: Plano Wildcat Basketball won the State 5A Championship for the first time in school history.
