.: Cap, Gown & Announcements

Jostens is the 2017 supplier of announcements and caps and gowns. Packets for cap and gowns, and other graduation gear were distributed in the fall.

If you have not yet ordered your cap, gown and/or announcements, please visit Jostens’ website at

.: Rehearsal

Tues., May 30, 2017
1:15 pm – 2:15 pm
Location has moved to the GYM
Graduates must attend rehearsal in order to participate in the ceremony.

.: Tickets for Family and Guests

Tickets will be required for guest admittance into the Ford Center. All guests 2 years and over will need a ticket. Students will be issued a ticket booklet at their schools. Seating will be general admission. The tickets are for family and friends, the graduate will not need one of these tickets. The graduate will receive a “green seating/participation card”; this will be their pass into the convention center. Plano Senior High School students will receive 8 tickets.

Seniors will go through an exit process and be cleared in order to receive their 8 graduation tickets. In order to be cleared, seniors will pick up a checkout form in Subschool, get each of their teachers to sign off that they have returned all school property and that any outstanding fees have been paid. They will then do a final checkout in Counseling, and, if all cleared, will received their 8 tickets.

.: Handicapped Seating

There is plenty of handicap seating throughout the arena this year with elevators to access the seats. There will not be a special section set aside. Sign language interpreters will be available in Section 108 for guests with hearing impairments.

Ford Center Bag Policy

Ceremony and Dress Code

Plano Senior High School maroon cap and gown with maroon and white tassel are required for participation in the graduation ceremony.  Honor graduates, students with a 3.6 cumulative gpa or higher, may wear the traditional white stole available from the registrar for $15.  Girls are expected to wear dresses or dress slacks with appropriate shoes.  Boys are expected to wear dress trousers, dress shirts, ties, and appropriate shoes and socks.  Athletic shoes and beach sandals will not be allowed.  Students must be properly attired to participate in the graduation ceremony

Following the ceremony students will exit the arena and be directed to the front of the Ford Center, where they may meet family at the Tostitos Championship Plaza.

.: Professional Photographs

Flash Photography will photograph each graduate and mail proofs at no charge within a few days of the ceremony.  Contact Flash at if you have questions.

.: Diplomas

Actual diplomas will not be given during the graduation ceremony. Diplomas will be available beginning June 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Graduates must produce a photo identification to receive their certificate. 

If someone other than the graduate will pick up the diploma, a letter of authorization will be required.The letter must include the name olinf the person authorized and the name and signature of the graduate. Photo identification will be required.

The office will be closed for the Fourth of July holiday.
