.: Cap, Gown & Announcements

Jostens is the 2009 supplier of announcements and caps and gowns. Packets were passed out in the fall. To order a cap and gown or announcements please call Jostens.

.: Rehearsal

Rehearsal is mandatory for all seniors who plan to participate in the graduation ceremony.  Rehearsal will be held in the gym, and will last less than one hour. Rehearsal will be Tuesday, June 2 at 1:15 P.M.

.: Tickets for Family and Guests

Tickets will be required for guest admittance into the Convention Center. All guest will need a ticket, regardless of age. Each graduate will be given six (6) tickets by their counselor when they go through "SENIOR WITHDRAWAL" the week of finals. The tickets are for family and friends, the graduate will not need one of these tickets. The graduate will receive a “green seating/participation card”; this will be their pass into the convention center.

.: Directions and Parking

General Parking
Two parking garages are located beneath the main level of exhibit space at the Dallas Convention Center. These spaces provide easy access to the arena. An outdoor surface lot near lower C lobby offers an additional space. The charge for parking in either area is $10 .00 per entry, per vehicle, cash or check.

Central Expressway
Take Central Expressway (U.S. 75) southbound. Take exit to I-35/U.S. 77 to Field Street. Turn left under the freeway and veer to the right onto Griffin Street. The Convention Center is straight ahead.

The Dallas North Tollway
Go south on the Dallas North Tollway. Take the Harry Hines/Downtown exit to Field Street to Griffin Street. The Convention Center is straight ahead.

.: Handicapped Seating

Handicapped seating will be on the arena floor behind the graduates. Due to limited special needs space we request that only one other family member/guest sit with the individual requiring handicapped seating.

 .: Ceremony and Dress Code

Seniors need to arrive The Dallas Convention Center one hour before the ceremony properly attired in the maroon gown and cap with maroon and white tassel.  The ceremony is estimated to last less than 2 hours.

Ladies should wear dresses or dress slacks and appropriate shoes.  Gentlemen are to wear dress trousers, long sleeved dress shirts, ties and appropriate shoes and socks.  Lettering and/or decorations are not appropriate on caps or gowns, no shorts or athletic shoes. Graduates may not have personal items in their possession at 6 p.m. when they line up for the processional (CELL PHONES, CAMERAS, PURSES, ETC).

Students will sign a letter of understanding regarding conduct expectations prior to participating in the graduation ceremony. 

Each graduate MUST present an admission card in order to participate. Graduates will get this card from their counselor when all requirements for graduation are completed.

Live/Post TV Coverage

For the first time ever, Plano ISD will broadcast graduation ceremonies live on digital television and via web cast. Interested parties can record these ceremonies. Family and friends near and far will be able to take part in this milestone event.

The television broadcast will air on a WFAA digital channel and the web cast will be available at wfaa.com. Tune in live the day of the event on the following channels and website.

Post-Event Broadcast
The PSHS graduation ceremony will be replayed throughout the summer on Plano ISD’s Time Warner cable channel 99 and on Verizon FIOS Channel 33 beginning on June 15, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Flash Photography will photograph each graduate and mail proofs at no charge within a few days of the ceremony. Orders can be placed on the company website:http://www.flashphotogrpahy.com

.: Graduation DVD

Grad Memory will produce DVDs for each Plano ISD graduation, including the reading of all degree candidates' names as they are presented with their diplomas. Orders can be placed on the company website: http://www.gradmemory.com . The cost is $21.99 complete with shipping.

.: Diplomas

Actual diplomas will not be given during the graduation ceremony. Diplomas will be available beginning June 9, between 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Graduates must produce a photo identification to receive their certificate. 

If someone other than the graduate will pick up the diploma, a letter of authorization will be required.The letter must include the name of the person authorized and the name and signature of the graduate. Photo identification will be required.

The office will be closed July 3 and 6 for the Fourth of July holiday.
