Wildlife: Divided into three sections: Hunter Education, Angler Education, and Boater Education. Students will learn how to identify types of game animal, hunting regulations, and can be certified in Hunter Safety. Students will also learn to identify freshwater and saltwater fish, fishing safety, and become a Master Angler. Students will learn their way around a boat, safety precautions, and on water activities.

  • Hunter Safety Certification is optional. Cost: $10

Landscape Design: Students will learn the steps a landscape designer takes during the design process. From building up clientele to drawing the final design, students will get an in depth look at the design process. Students will go through a mock landscaping project which lasts the full 18 weeks.

Floral Design: Students will learn the ropes of floral design. Included in this course is the identification of flowers, floral design principals, and a wedding/banquet project. Students will learn the latest styles and trends in floral design and understand the importance of artificial flowers. Students will have the opportunity to express their artistic side when working with fresh and artificial flowers.

Vet Tech I: Course instruction includes anatomy and physiology of animals, clinical examinations, and animal hospital procedures. Students will have the opportunity to work hands-on in a lab environment with animals of every size. Students will learn to correct procedure for administering shots, bandaging wounds, and mending broken bones. This course is a pre-requisite to Vet Tech II.

Vet Tech II: 2 hour course. Consist of course instruction and clinical rotations. Students will alternate classroom instruction and internship at a local vet, assisting the veterinarian and the vet technicians with common procedures.

  • Students must have personal transportation to clinic sites.
