| Saigling Elementary celebrates Children's Book Week every November. To celebrate, students and staff dress-up as their favorite book character. The principal, Mrs. Latimer, leads everyone in a Character Book Parade throughout the school. She is followed by a parade of characters, as students and staff march through the halls dressed as their favorite book character. |  |

Students
and staff return to school later in the evening for a family night
of fun at the school's fall book fair and Cookie and Characters Night. Everyone enjoys shopping
for great books and eating cookies with milk as teachers present
storytime. The teachers read (in costume) some of their favorite
