Chris Robin

In 1986, we moved from Chicago to this neighborhood specifically because of Wells’ reputation as an excellent school.  Our daughter, Leslie, went to Wells for all 6 years, attended the University of Texas in Austin as an honor student, and is now in graduate school for Occupational Therapy and hopes to work with children with disabilities.

I’ve taught at Wells since 1992.  Most of my years have been as a kindergarten teacher, but I’ve also taught Special Education and currently teach English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL or ESL).  I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from Illinois State University and my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Development from Loyola University in Chicago.

Reading, quilting, and volunteering are all passions of mine.  I am very involved with the Greyhound Rescue organization (GALT).

My favorite quote is “Outside of a dog, a book is man’s best friend.  Inside of a dog, it’s just too dark to read.”  Groucho Marx.
