I graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in Kinesiology in 2000. After graduation I worked in McKinney ISD as a P.E. aide and later went back to school for my teacher’s certificate. While working in McKinney I met my wife, Alana, who still works there as a part-time art teacher. We now have an amazing son together, Easton.
My hobbies include: spending time with my family and playing with my son, playing (or watching) ice hockey, watching movies and just about anything Star Wars.
As a P.E. teacher, I enjoy not only being able to introduce new ‘sports’ skills to my children, but also to introduce skills that can help them lead a healthier life.
This is Coach Balch's 5th year at Wells. Coach Balch and his wife, Alana, have been married for 4 years and now have two children...Easton and Myles...and a pug named Mojo. They enjoy going out to eat and spending time together as a family. Coach enjoys playing and watching sports, especially golf and hockey, and he is a self proclaimed 'Star Wars geek'.
