| Plano ISD Instructional Center: Ask a librarian for the password. Choices Planner has a school database that can show schools with services for learning disabled or physically disabled students. Students can use the School Finder to search for schools with disabled student services. To do this, open the School Finder (on the Learn page), go to the Campus Life tab, then select "Disabled Student Services" under Health and Safety Services. You may also search for disabled housing under Student Housing. You can also enter "Learning Disabled" into the Search tab, and then scroll down to the results list. The first entries will be for programs in teaching special education. Then you will see colleges and universities in the results list. These schools have programs and/or services for learning disabled students. These will be shown in the Programs tab, near the bottom of the screen, with a special icon. For example, at the bottom of the programs chart for Xavier University, there is a purple circle with the line: "Xavier University offers learning disabled tutoring to those with special needs." |
