Education: I attended St. Mary's University in San Antonio where I received my
Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Reading.
Years in Education: Last year I worked as a substitute teacher. This year marks my
first year to teach my own class. Yippee!
Family: My wonderful parents reared up a houseful of characters.
I grew up the baby of the family with 2 older sisters (Mary and Rebecca) and 2 older
brothers (Matt and Jeff). Rebecca has 2 small children who I adore!!
My very intelligent nephew, Jack, is in second grade this year and my beautiful
niece, Sydney, is in first grade. First is the BEST!!!
Oh and how can I forget my nephew, Chris?! Aaahhh!!! This year he will be
graduating from Plano Senior High and my husband and I are so proud of his accomplishments. Keep up the good work diddo !!
I began the next chapter of my life on September 23rd of 2006 with my best friend, Thomas.
He is my backbone, my true love. Right now we have 2 Chihuahuas, Bubba and Dutch and a 2 month kitten we
named Mid-Knight. T and I are looking forward to getting more animals and somewhere over the
rainbow starting a little family of our own.
Interests/Hobbies: Photography, working out, music & dancing, Guitar Hero (whoot whoot),
cooking & eating (ha-ha), reading, watching & playing sports: Go Spurs Go! Go Steelers!
Virtually anything under the Sun, the Moon and the Stars.
If I hadn't been a teacher, I would have been: a teacher!
Why: To teach and to lead is my calling. It may provide other opportunities for me in the future,
but for the time being I will continue to strive in my passion.
Interesting facts about me: I'm ambidextrous. Also, I'm still scared of the dark, yet I'm
fascinated with scary movies and true crime stories.

Why: Because I like to create new and exciting dishes.
Education: I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas.
Family: My mother, Devoria Hicks, and her husband, Don Hicks; my brother, Donald Hicks;
my family dog, Mr. B. K.; and my soon-to-be husband, Marvin Tuggle
Interests/Hobbies: I enjoy exercising, writing, reading, and collecting Kermit the Frog collectibles.
If I hadn't been a teacher, I would have been: a child psychologist.
Why: Because it would have given me the opportunity to change the lives of many children.
Interesting facts about me: I published one of my poetry pieces in 2004 with an online company, Poetry.com, in an anthology entitled, "Touch of Tomorrow," published by the International Library of Poetry (Howard Ely, Ed.).

Why? Photography gives me the ability to show my creative talent in a tangible way.

Before teaching, my background was in Fine Arts, specializing in advertising. I have
created magazine ads and commercials selling products.
I have the keen ability to relate to each child in some way, shape or form and make
the learning process enjoyable. I believe a smiling ans singing child is learning!
