Family: My mom, dad, and brother. I also have an adorable Chihuahua named Sophie.
Interests/Hobbies: Reading, shopping, and spending time with friends and family.
If I hadn’t been a teacher, I would have been a flight attendant so that I could get paid to travel.

Interesting facts about me: I grew up in Plano and went to Plano schools. There are actually
a few teachers here at Christie that were my teachers growing up!

I have always wanted to be a Kindergarten teacher like my Grandmother and could not imagine doing anything else.
Interesting facts about me: My nickname is Carebear because I love and collect bears.

Andrea Mitchell- Bilingual
Education: Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas A & M-Commerce
Years in Education: 10 Years
Family: I have a husband named John, a 2 year girl named Carmen, & two cats (Popcorn & Louis).
Interests/Hobbies: I love to travel! On my honeymoon, my husband and I went to Europe for
two weeks and I just LOVED it! We spent time in England and France.
In England, I was very fascinated with the tea tradition. Now, I collect china tea cups and tea pots.
I also love to scrapbook…when and if I get a chance!
If I hadn’t been a teacher, I would have been: That is easy! If I hadn’t been a teacher,
I would have been a wedding planner/party planner.
I love to have parties, create a theme, decorate for them, and come up with different “party” foods.
Interesting facts about me: My major in college was Political Science.
I had planned on attending law school but after I was accepted, I changed my mind and decided to be a teacher. Thank goodness!!! J
