Family: My mom, dad, and brother. I also have an adorable Chihuahua named Sophie.

Interests/Hobbies: Reading, shopping, and spending time with friends and family.

If I hadn’t been a teacher, I would have been a flight attendant so that I could get paid to travel.

Family: Mom, Dad, 2 older brothers and Randen, my adorable 2 1/2 year old nephew!

Interests/Hobbies: Scrapbooking, weekly television shows, reading.

If I hadn't been a teacher, I would have been: a vet.

Why? because I love animals as much as ai Love kiddos!

Interesting facts about me:
I am the only one out of my family with curly hair!
I also bleed Maroon!

 

 

Kate Szczepanski

Education: Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies

Years in Education: First year teacher

Family: My Mom and Dad both live in the Woodlands, TX. I have a miniature Shih-tzu named Sadie.

Interests/Hobbies: I love to spend time with my friends and try out new restaurants.
I also am obsessed with CSI.

If I hadn’t been a teacher, I would have been a labor and delivery nurse because I love babies and I am
fascinated with the medical field.

Feri Nia

Education: BS In Interdisciplinary Studies and Elementary Education from University of Texas at Dallas

Years in Education: 2

Family: 18-year-old son - Shayan
16-year-old daughter - Shabnam

Interesting Hobbies: Spending quality time with family and friends, exercising, and traveling.

If I hadn't been a teacher, I would have been a psychologist because I am interested in the field of psychology.

I am trilingual. I speak Farsi, Azari Turkish, and English


 

Courtney Millholland

Years in Education: This is my 6th year to teach!

Family:  Husband, Nate, Daughter Mallory(3), Son Grayson (1)

Interests/Hobbies:
I love playing with my kids and reading. I am also taking cake decorating classes and I am really enjoying it!

Interesting facts about me: I grew up in Plano and went to Plano schools. There are actually

a few teachers here at Christie that were my teachers growing up!


Carrie Hullinger

Education: McLennon Community College, Baylor University

Years in education: 5 years

Family:  I have been blessed with an amazing family!  My parents Kent and Aneta,

who have loved and spoiled me my whole life J .  An older sister Stephanie, her husband Jason,

my adorable 3 1/2 year old niece Faith, and cuddly  9 month old nephew Christian.   

Interests/Hobbies: Hanging out with my friends.

If I hadn’t been a teacher, I would have been:

I have always wanted to be a Kindergarten teacher like my Grandmother and could not imagine doing anything else.

Interesting facts about me: My nickname is Carebear because I love and collect bears.
My dream is to travel the world one day.


 

Laura Braxton

Education:  Texas A&M University

Years in Education: 4

Family:  Husband, Bobby

Dogs, Jake and Aggie  

Interests/Hobbies:
Sports and spending time with family/friends

If I hadn’t been a teacher, I would have been:

a physical therapist

Why?

Because it is a very rewarding job where you get to interact with great people and help them get better.

Interesting facts about me: I LOVE sports, I am double-jointed.

 


Andrea Mitchell- Bilingual

Education:  Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas A & M-Commerce

Years in Education: 10 Years

Family: I have a husband named John, a 2 year girl named Carmen, & two cats (Popcorn & Louis).

Interests/Hobbies: I love to travel!  On my honeymoon, my husband and I went to Europe for

two weeks and I just LOVED it!  We spent time in England and France. 

In England, I was very fascinated with the tea tradition.  Now, I collect china tea cups and tea pots. 

I also love to scrapbook…when and if I get a chance!

If I hadn’t been a teacher, I would have been:  That is easy!  If I hadn’t been a teacher,

I would have been a wedding planner/party planner. 

I love to have parties, create a theme, decorate for them, and come up with different “party” foods.

Interesting facts about me:  My major in college was Political Science. 

I had planned on attending law school but after I was accepted, I changed my mind and decided to be a teacher.  Thank goodness!!!  J
