The Dooley Library Media Center is an integral part of the Dooley environment. the Library is open from 7:15 to 3:15 daily. Every class comes weekly to the library for checkout and for instruction in information skills that will help each student become effective library users and have a lifelong love of reading. Our flexible scheduling permits students to visit the LMC for research and check out as often as needed on an individual, small group or whole class basis. We have an inventory of over 14,000 books, media and periodicals from which to choose.

The checkout period for all students is one week. Students with overdue books are not permitted to check out. We do not charge for fines for overdue books but damaged or lost books must be paid for before another book may be checked out. Refunds will be given if the book is found or returned undamaged within the current school year.

Parent volunteers and student library club members are valuable assets to our library media center. They help man the circulation desk, shelve books, and do other things that allow the librarian and library assistant to spend their valuable time assisting students and staff and maintaining the library collection.

Our students receive computer training that provides them the skills to find information and materials. The district provides access to many data bases both at school and for home use. These may be accessed by clicking the Dooley Library Page.
