Pam attended Eastern Kentucky University. She has been with Plano ISD since 1987 and at Dooley since 1993. She has four children and 5 grandchildren.

Mrs. Thorpe was born in Brazil, South America. She attended Sao Paulo University, where she received her BA in Education and her Masters in Reading and Linguistics. She got her librarian certification from TWU. Mrs. Thorpe has been teaching in Texas for the last 15 years. Her hobbies include reading, scrapbooking, quilting, and hiking. She has a husband and two children, who attend Murphy Middle School.
