Julie-
Anne Z. Dean
Mrs. Dean, Principal, Haggard Middle School, has 12 years experience
in education, which encompasses 5 years teaching middle school and
7 years in school administration. This is Mrs. Dean's 3rd year as
principal. Her educational background consists of a BA in English
from Southern Methodist University and a Master's degree in Education
Administration from The University of North Texas. Julie-Anne strongly believes that "Our greatest contribution is to be sure there is a teacher in every classroom who cares that every student, everyday, learns and grows and feels like a real human being." When not walking the halls at Haggard, she is running after her two young boys. |
Phil
Evans
Mr. Evans is entering his fifth year at Haggard. He served for two years as the administrative intern and is moving into his third as assistant principal. His educational background
consists of a B. S. in Secondary Education from Baylor University
as well as a Masters in Educational Administration from the University
of North Texas. He taught and coached in Plano and McKinney
before moving into an administrative position at Haggard. His wife is also a teacher,
and he has three children ages 8, 6, and 4. Phil
is happy to be a part of such a caring team at Haggard. |
Mark Letterer
Mr. Letterer is entering his tenth year in education and his first year as the Administrative Intern at Haggard. His educational background consists of a BA in History from the University of New York at Buffalo, and two Masters Degrees from Texas A&M University Commerce - an MS in English with a special focus in teaching ESL and a Masters in Educational Administration. Mr. Letterer taught 8th grade US History and coached football, basketball, cross country and track in Mesquite ISD for six years and served as the ESL team leader at Carpenter Middle School for three years. When not at work, Mr. Letterer loves spending time with his wife and three year old son Kyle, reading history and trying to resuscitate his meager golf game.
