Medal of Honor Assembly

Jasper was honored to host an assembly on October 28, 2011, for our Freshman featuring Congressional Medal Of Honor Recipients:

• Allen James Lynch

• Robert Modrzejewski

Both speakers talked with our students about patriotism, service before self, and making sacrifice.  State Representative Van Taylor (House District 66) organized this event for our students, he spoke with our students briefly and introduced our American heroes.

Jasper's Red Ribbon Week Parade

Jasper celebrated RED RIBBON WEEK

October 31 - November 4, 2011

Daily announcements included facts about drugs and prevention.

Another way Jasper promoted Red Ribbon week was by having video's and discussions during Study Hall about the dangers and consequences of drug use.

On Thursday, November 3, Jasper had a parade throughout the school with floats made by the academic departments, adminstrative staff, or Jasper organizations. The parade was done at the end of the school day.
