There will be theme days throughout the week and students are encourage to dress for the day (dress code still applies)

Some of our student clubs will remind the school of the next day theme with a short commercial. Look for our Jaguar mascot dressed up during lunches sporting the next day theme. Tune into lunch and passing periods as themed music will fill the halls.

Monday, October 24, many of the halls will be decorated in a theme of drug free and Jasper spirit. Administration will judge the hall decorations on Monday and determine who the winners are of the contest.

Daily announcements will have facts about drugs and prevention. Another way Jasper is promoting Red Ribbon week is by having video's and discussions in Study hall about the dangers and consequences of drug use.

PEP Rally:

We will also have a pep rally to get everyone excited and ready to cheer Jasper on to victory against Shepton. The pep rally will be Thursday, October 27 towards the end of the day.

Jasper will have an indoor school parade on October 27. The parade theme is Jag Attack. The parade will include many teacher and student floats celebrating Jasper spirit and drug free living. The parade will be in our main halls and foyer at the end of the day.

Before the Westside showdown on Thursday, October 27, there will be a joint tailgate with Jasper and Shepton. It will take place outside Clark stadium’s home side entrance. This event is free and all Jasper and Shepton student and faculty can get hotdogs, chips, and a water if they come.

Jagfest will occur during block lunch October 28th. A carnival type atmosphere will greet students who step out to the circle bus lane. Outside KISS FM will play from the various decades, there will be a best dressed teacher contest (judged by students), FOOD BOOTHS.

**Region Choir Results:
Congratulations to all of the students who auditioned for Region Choir this past weekend. This is quite a big event just six weeks from the beginning of school! These kids have been practicing diligently – at home and school .  Thank you for your support of these students as they work to achieve their goal of making the Region Choir. We have so many talented students that are not placed in a choir. There is a big adjustment in the material and time frame experience from middle school to high school audition. This is in addition competing against juniors and seniors, allergies and colds that have hit and as always the “fear factor” aka nerves! I could not be prouder of the dedication and commitment from any of our students who take on this challenge regardless of placement. Way to go Jags!
