| Ball said the feeling of watching the flag raise was hard to describe."It's an amazing feeling knowing the flag being flown here was raised over the capitol in our honor," she said. "I feel such pride, and also an obligation to continue to do what we've done here to make this a Blue Ribbon school. "This is a testament to the commitment of the parents, staff and community. It's a wonderful experience to celebrate." | |
| Barbara Roselli, a Mathews parent and former PTA President, said Monday's ceremony was very emotional for her. "It's definitely an honor to receive this award and be able to celebrate it like this," Roselli said. "I think we learned a lot from this about the people in our school district and community. "It shows how special the partnership between parents, students, staff and the district really is around here." |
