The Meadows Dads' Club is a group of fathers who work together to support the well-being of the
students at Meadows.  The group has generally been fathers, but promotes itself to be open to
any adult male from the Meadows community that is interested in supporting students at Meadows Elementary.  The club has worked in partnership with the PTA on many occasions.

The Dads' Club has held several Saturday workdays over the last 5 years.  The dads work during
these days to build or fix items at the request of teachers to help their classrooms be more
conducive to instruction and learning.  Some of these projects have included the store kiosk,
installing shelves, painting, refinishing classroom furniture, installing dry erase marker boards,
and constructing the school lost and found box.

The Dads' Club has sponsored and has played key roles in special events like the Family
Fun Days and carnival-type events that have taken place on Saturdays.  They have constructed
props for carnival games that can be enjoyed by children for years to come.  One year, the
Dads' Club supported a PTA book sale that took place on a Saturday.

The dads have gone into the classrooms and read books to groups of students and they have
also given presentations on careers and cultural experiences. There is also a Dads' Club
skate night that has been very successful.
