The Discover
Program serves students at participating schools in grades
Pre-K through Fourth grade who show the need for higher
level thinking activities beyond the general education curriculum
but who have not been identified for PACE.
Participaton
in Discover is determined through collaboration between
the Discover Specialist and the classroom teacher. Quantitative
data and qualitative data are examined to determine what
needs the 'preponderance of evidence' suggests.
Discover is not
PACE, though both programs deliver higher order thinking
skills to students and are managed by the Coordinator of
Gifted Programs.
