MeadowsElementary provides a program
for students with dyslexia and related disorders. Two programs are available
through identification, intervention, and placement procedures established
by Plano Independent School District.
Students in Kindergarten and First Grade
are carefully monitored for dyslexic tendencies. A student may be
evaluated in Second Grade for dyslexia. If identified with a specific
need the Second Grade student may be served in the Touchphonics Program.
Students in Third Grade through Fifth Grade who are identified as needing
services for dyslexia are placed in the Herman Method. |
