Texas Educational Theatre Association Award Winner |
Theatre Major Studies and Advanced Tech student, Cynthia McDonald, won the TETA Founders Scholarship for Technical Theatre at the state convention in Dallas on Saturday, January 23. Cynthia's portfolio was judged the best and she received a $2000 scholarship. Cynthia was a state finalist in UIL Costume Design last year and will soon be submitting her designs for Antigone for this year's contest. Please congratulate her! |
Attention Parents & Juniors:
Academic Conferences
will begin in mid-February and end in late April. Parents and students will receive a letter at home approximately two weeks prior to the conference notifying them of the time and date of their meeting. Juniors will meet with the counselors during English classes during the week of February in order to create a preliminary schedule on-line. The counseling staff is looking forward to meeting with you and your junior! |

Advanced Placement Exams (AP)—Exam registration will be February 1 through February 12. Teachers of each subject will collect the fee for their exam. The fee for each exam is $56. A minimum $15 non-refundable deposit is required ($41 balance will then be due by April 16). However, payment in full is encouraged. Payments may be made by cash (exact amount) or check. Checks should be preprinted with name, address and phone # and be made payable to Plano ISD. The student’s name and ID# MUST be on the check. Going on a College Visit?
If you are planning to visit a college or university and will miss school, be sure to get a College Visitation Form from the counseling office or your sub-school BEFORE your visit. Forms must be signed by your counselor and sub-school principal prior to your visit and then signed and stamped by a college official on the day of your visit. Turn the form into your sub-school within 3 days of your return to school so that your absences are excused. |
