All of us at Plano East want to assist in making certain that every senior successfully meets all requirements for graduation. We ask that parents contact teachers immediately if you feel your son/daughter may be having difficulty in any classes. We strive to have “no surprises” regarding our students’ graduation status so please stay in close communication if you have concerns. Commencement Exercises The Class of 2008 will hold its commencement exercises at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, June 10, at Reunion Arena in Dallas. Because of the large seating capacity at Reunion Arena, family members and guests do not need tickets to attend. However, there will be no reserved seating so an early arrival is advised. Graduates are expected to be at their place in line at Reunion by 6:00 pm, and may not have any personal items (cell phones, cameras, purses, etc.) in their possession at that time. MANDATORY Graduation Rehearsal will be held in the Plano East gym on Tuesday, June 3 from 1:15 – 2:15 pm. Graduates must attend rehearsal in order to participate in the ceremony. Cap, Gown, and Announcements Jostens is the 2008 supplier of caps, gowns, and announcements. Orders placed with Jostens by April 3rd will be ready for pickup in the Plano East Gym Foyer on April 21st from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. Jostens is located at 3115 West Parker, and you may contact them directly at 972-612-5873 with any questions. They also have a website on which students/parents can place orders – it is www.jostensgradshop.com.
