.: What is It?

The Computer Club is a highly interactive organization dedicated to educate and utilize computer skills. This can range anywhere from hardware such as computer building and Cisco networking to software and programming languages such as Java, Perl, C++, and PHP. You DO NOT need to know much about computers in order to be able to participate in the Computer Club. We can assure you that we will teach you what you need to know to adapt to the new technology present in this Technological Revolution.

.: Our Goal

The PSHS Computer Club will be the best club on campus! We have an abundant of diverse goals throughout the school year. Teaching members various skills in programming languages, web design, animation, 3D Modeling, and computer hardware and software is our primary objective. Our regular computer-building projects ("American Choppers" Style!) are in part humanitarian efforts to provide less fortunate school children with adequate technology in order to function as students. Therefore, a large portion of our finished computers are donated to these needy kids.

.: How Do You Join?

Membership is always open, so there is no deadline membership registration. In order to join, you need to contact Mr. Coe either by e-mail or contact. His room is B157. Dues are $5, and we only accept members who are willing to actively participate. In other words, no lazy bums who want to join solely for the purpose of mentioning this prestigious honor in their college applications!

Meetings are held usually on Thursdays. Check the bulletin board outside of room B157 for more information on meeting times. You MUST be a paid member in order to participate in Computer Club activities.

.: Why Should You Join?

In an rapidly growing technological industry, it is becoming imperative to use at least some form of advanced technology, whether it be a IRC Channel, a PC, or even a graphing calculator. People who "lag" behind the crowd tend to get lost and confused in this world. It is the Computer Club's duty to teach you the skills you need in this society. You don't have to be a geek to join. The club is fun actually has a point to it.
