SENIOR WITHDRAWAL
All seniors must withdraw. SENIORS may pick up their withdrawal form in
their subschool beginning Wednesday, May 28th before school or during lunch.
Seniors can NOT get this form during class time.
“Senior Withdrawal” is a simple process to ensure all seniors clear their
accounts. All books must be turned in, all fines paid (cash only). Their
last stop will be the counseling center. The counselor will give the
graduates a green card which they must have for the graduation ceremony.
CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT REGISTRATION
Collin College will be at PSHS for con-current enrollment registration for CCCC Fall 2008 classes @ PSHS on Thursday, June 19th from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the PSHS Library.
PLANO I.S.D. SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL EXEMPTION POLICY
A senior may qualify for exemption from final exams during the second
semester if he/she meets the following criteria:
A minimum grade of 85 overall 2nd semester average (per class), and 85 for
the 3rd six weeks must be maintained (per class)
The student shall have no unexcused absences and have no more than three (3)
excused absences in each class during the second semester (per class).
The student shall have no more than 5 tardies in each class.
No major infractions. Major infractions typically result in In School
Suspension, Saturday School, Out of School Suspension, Friday Night School,
or placement at the Special Programs Center. The building principal will
determine whether an offense will be classified as “major”.
The student must have no outstanding fines, fees, or debts for school
property or services (summer school, night school, etc.)
The student must report to class for attendance accounting and check out
requirements at the start of the first period each exam day to be exempt
from taking any exam. Failure to report to the first period class each exam
day will result in a zero as the grade for the examination. If the student
has a pass for an excused absence, he/she will be allowed to take the
make-up examination on the scheduled date.
SENIOR AWARDS CEREMONY
The Senior Awards Ceremony will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2008 at 2:30 P.M.
in the auditorium which is located in the theater building. Invitations will
be mailed to students that will be recognized. Students being recognized
should report to the theater building by 2:00 P.M. on Sunday.
DIPLOMAS
Actual diplomas will not be given during the graduation ceremony. Diplomas
will be available beginning June 11, between 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the
subschools Graduates must produce a photo identification to receive their
certificate.
If someone other than the graduate will pick up the diploma, a letter of
authorization will be required. The letter must include the name of the
person authorized and the name and signature of the graduate. Photo
identification will be required.

DestinationCollege is offering the Summer Math Bridge Program. Math Matters!
Who should participate?
If you ...
- Have taken Algebra II, but want to review/strengthen what you’ve learned.
- Will be starting college and want to study for the math part of the
assessment test (COMPASS or THEA).
- Have already taken the assessment test but did not place into college level
math.
- Want to prepare for Honors, AP, or dual credit classes.

STUDENTS MUST REMAIN IN CLASS FOR THE FULL PERIOD EVEN IF THEY HAVE COMPLETED THE TESTING.
REMINDER: Only those students who have permission from Mrs. Franco may take exams at times other than the scheduled times.
PERMISSION TO TAKE EXAMS AT AN ALTERNATE TIME WILL BE GRANTED TO STUDENTS WITH EXTREME EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES ONLY. Alternate exams cannot be given before the first day of exams.
Forms for this purpose are located in Pat Baumann’s office and need to be completed by the student and signed by parent prior to FINALS WEEK.
Seniors with exemptions MUST check in at the beginning of their first exam
each day. (On Friday, for example, if a senior does not have a zero hour
and is exempt for 1st period. They must check in at 1st period.)
CALLING ALL WILDCAT STUDENTS
The Plano Wildcat Quarter Back Club is having a BEACH BLAST at Jack Carter
Pool Saturday, June 7th from 8:30pm to 11:30pm. All Wildcat students are
invited to join in the fun. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door
(based on availability). Price includes: Pool, Food, Music and Burkhead's
Volleyball Tournament! Tickets are on sale in cafeteria during lunch on May
26-29th. Wildcat football spiritwear will also be available so bring extra
money! Proceeds of the Beach Blast go to support The New City House on
Independence and the Plano Wildcat Football Program.
Please remember that personal checks will no longer be accepted after April
30th for any fees, fines, etc. Students will need to make payments in cash
or bring a money order for the exact amount of their fee or fine.
