contemporary American southwest. Otherwise, he likes
to write and act in short films, receiving critical
praise for his comedic portrayal of Satan in a student film.
Crockett, Emily (2002) She
is now a sophomore at Northwestern University. She lives
in Jones Residential College, and the hall has a hundred
people--lots of music and theatre majors, but plenty of
arts and they have a performance area and perform for each
other all the time. Emily was an undecided arts and sciences
major all of last year, but eventually realized that her
place was in the 5-year double degree program between the
School of Music and CAS (College of Arts and Sciences).
She has been a Vocal Performance major since the beginning
of the year. Her other major is English. She has done some
theatre at Northwestern including the adaptation of A CLOCKWORK
ORANGE. She was called back for RICHARD III. She is dancing
in a 30 hour dance marathon to raise money for Autism.

Hudson, David (2003): David
is at The University of Evansville. He was cast into the
second mainstage production for the semester, THE MADWOMAN
OF CHAILLOT. He is playing the Sergeant and Prospector #
2. It's a good step up from last semester because as the
sergeant he has quite a few lines, and a nice little scene.
The show is being guest directed which is really cool, because
it won't be someone who he’s been working with. He's
a very nice older man named Sam Smiley, he was the original
department chair at UE when our current department chair
was a student here! He definetely knows what he is doing
so far, and David is really excited that he made it into
a nice role in a huge show.
Jones, Justin A.P. (2002)
Justin is finishing up his
2nd year with the Quad C Theatre, CCCC Plano. He has

world of stage management and has since stage-managed three
shows in a row (Footloose, The Vagina Monologues, and currently

treasurer of the Jewish Theater Ensemble, and the assistant-producer
of Boomshaka (a drum-dance group).
Alison Kreideweis(2004):
Alison is at the University of Kansas and is currently listed
as an Education major...however this is a clever disguise
considering she is undecided. She is considering majors
ranging from Psychology to Theatre & Film, but is leaning
towards some kind of major that would deal with Early Childhood.
She plans on rushing at the beginning of her sophmore year,
which was not something she was planning on, but found herself
to be drawn in to. Updates on that will be given in the
future. She is also dabbling a little bit in theatre still,
and was cast as Sis in the senior directed play of WASP
by Steve Martin. We'll see what comes of that in the future
as well. Other than that, she is very happy enjoying the
cold weather and is looking forward to the snow and her
first sledding experience. It should be great.

Loftin is at Oklahoma City University doing very well. She
is currently in the opera, THE MERRY WIDOW. She has the
second lead (Valencia) and has some wonderful songs. She
is the comic relief. Natalie spent the summer in New York
studying at NYU. She had a wonderful time and saw most everything
on Broadway. Natalie is toying with the idea of trying out
for Miss OCU….we might see her on the Miss America
Show. Mr. Sykes would be proud!
Mack, Sara (2001) After taking
a semester off to spend some quality time back in Plano,
Sara is back at USC in Los Angeles. She should be graduating
in May 2005, majoring in Theatre with a minor in Communications
and the Entertainment Industry. She plans on interning this
summer in a casting department at a production company in
CA since she's pursuing a career as a casting director.

Pitt, Ashley (2003) Ashley
is at Emerson College in Boston majoring in Musical Theatre
Performance (BFA Degree). She is having a great time. The
fall semester of 04, she will be studying in the Netherlands
and living in a castle and travel will be much of the curriculum.
She will be auditioning for PIPPIN this spring.
Reyes, Gwen (2002) I am currently a rising
junior at Sweet Briar College in Virginia. I was assistant
stage manager for my first show, The Quilters, in Fall '02.
After that show, I took my first sabbatical from theatre
in almost 4 years. I focused on my studies and am now a
member of Alpha Lambda Delta--a first year honor society
for undergrads. I manage an art gallery on campus and I
pick and work with bands and comedians that play our concert
series over the semesters-- such as Dave Matthews and John
Mayer. I am currently a Communications and Philosophy double
major with a minor in Film Studies (my love). I have made
over a dozen short films for classes and personal enjoyment,
as well as, spent
way too many mornings watching the sun rise writing a last
minute critique of a film or the importance of Socrates
and Marx. I am starting a film club on campus next year
for all students, sitting as a chair for our club council,
and acting as secretary for Young Democrats. Summer 04 I
have plans to move to NYC for an internship in Entertainment
Management with a company owned by a Sweet Briar Alumnae.
After Sweet Briar, I want to attend Law School and specialize
in Entertainment/Communications/Media/Intellectual Property
Law, and eventually manage artists and produce films.
Shiff, Blair (2003): She
is majoring in Broadcast Journalism with an emphasis in
sports. She has a sports update radio show every Friday
night on WERS 88.9 FM. This is the only completely student
run radio station in the country. She also runs a teleprompter
and occasionally anchors for the school TV station, WEBN,
for a Sportscenter like environment. She also sings in the
church choir down the road. She will be traveling abroad
to the Netherlands this upcoming fall semester (2004) and
will hopefully be interning with local radio stations in
Texas over the summer. She was accepted into Zeta Phi Eta.
It's a co-ed fraternity that is strictly for the Communications,
Arts and Sciences. They do a lot of community service such
as fundraising for AIDS cures and American Cancer society
and blankets for the homeless.
Shelley Smith (2003) graduated from Plano
West in 2003 and headed out west to the University of Colorado
to study advertising. However, being a native Texan soul
she will be transferring to University of Texas in fall
2004 to continue her major in advertising and plans to throw
a little photography and theatre into the mix. There’s
just no place like home. Hook Em'
Tilis, Heather (2001) Heather
is at Tulane University majoring in Political Science and
Women’s Studies. Heather worked as an intern in Washington
DC this last summer. She took a theatre class but other
than being an audience member, has not had time or an opportunity
to pursue her love for theatre.
Van Poole, Eryn (2003): Eryn
is at North Texas for at least another year-- then who knows.
She had a wonderful time traveling Europe this past summer
and she is doing well.
Walters, Rachel (2003): Rachel is at Texas
Christian University. She is really excited about starting
up programs with HyperFrogs, for which she is the
Peer Education Chair for such things as Safe Sex Week, as
well as planning to do programs in the local elementary
schools. She also started a new job on campus working in
the Campus Life office. She is taking a Survey of Musical
Theatre class this semester and enjoying it a lot. Theatre
will always be part of her life.
Washington, Alicia (2000) She
is currently a junior at Yale. She continues to be strongly
involved in politics. She just completed her term as President
of the Yale College Democrats which afforded her the time
to write opinion articles for the Yale Daily News, the main
campus publication. Although she no longer does theatre,
the skills she acquired in theatre have been beneficial.
Politics requires good communication and public speaking
skills, both of which she feels theatre made me comfortable
in doing. In addition, she tutors 4th and 5th grade students
in preparation for an end-year competition called Book Bowl.
Also, she is a peer advisor at the Undergraduate Career
Services Center where she is qualified to critique resumes
and cover letters as well as offer advice on job, internships,
and study abroad opportunities. She will be taking the LSATs
this summer and applying to law school in the fall. She
hopes to take a year off before law school to either spend
a year in Spain or work in Washington D.C. Currently, her
ultimate goal after practicing law for some time is to run
for public office.
Yonack, Samantha (2002) Sam
was reading over a scene the other day and one of the lines
was "Pshaw Child," and it made her think of us
and LOOK HOMEWARD ANGEL. She says “We were so lucky
to actually have teachers in high school who actually knew
what they were talking about.” She is at California
School of the Arts.
