The Plano West Library houses a collection of over 25,000 books, magazines, newspapers, VHS tapes and DVDs, audiovisual equipment, and electronic resources. Students are encouraged to visit the Library to research for class assignments, meet study groups, and to find a good read. The library staff can assist students with finding books, using databases, and searching for information online.
The Library's College Preparatory Resource Collection offers books on preparing students for taking college entrance exams, succeeding in AP/IB courses, using study skills successfully, choosing the right college and the right major, paying for college (financial aid and scholarships), to living on your own, managing a social life responsibly, and eating well on a limited budget.
The goal of the Plano West Library is to prepare students for a lifetime of learning and to serve the faculty and staff of the Plano West community with excellence.
