The Runnin Wolves Cross Country team competed last Wednesday in the District Meet. In their favorite, extreme muddy conditions, the teams out ran almost all the other teams in the District 8-5A championship. The Varsity Girls and Junior Varsity Girls teams each came in 1st place. The Varsity Boys just missed 1st place by 5 points but the Junior Varsity Boys finished their race in 1st place. Both of the Varsity teams qualify for the Regional Meet to be held on Saturday, November 7th in Lubbock. All seven runners in the Varsity Girls' race placed in the top 10 with Casie Ramsier, Natalie Baker, Rexi Parcells, Gabby Hadly, Kimberly Kurtin, and Gena Hurst finishing in 2nd through 7th place, respectively and Brooke Ramsier placing 9th. For the Varsity Boys, Sam Tillery placed 2nd and Winston Hurst was 8th. Make sure to congratulate the team members and wish them luck this week at Regionals in Lubbock

Tennis Team: After a hard fought battle with Lubbock Coronado, the Plano West tennis team fell one round short of returning to the state tournament, falling by a score of 10-8 in the regional finals. The match was very reminiscent of the 2004 regional final, with Coronado taking a 9-4 lead in both matches. This time however, we weren't quite able to overcome that deficit. Please congratulate the tennis team members on a great season!
