Congratulations Juniors your 2008-2009 senior class president is Brett Seidler.  Be sure to congratulate him as well as give him your concerns and suggestion.

We are so proud of you, Becca!

Congratulations to Technical Theatre student, Becca Koopferstock who won 1st Place in State in Publicity Design in the Technical Theatre Division of UIL.  Becca designed a poster, did a publicity release, and another form of advertising for the UIL selected play, HAMLET.  Becca had to design it using the criteria set by the UIL Rules and Regulations.  She competed against over 200 other entries from across the state.  She received a certificate and a Gold Medal.  Please take time to congratulate both Becca and her Technical Design Director, Mr. Norv Sykes.

Please congratulate Chris Bell and Sergio Antognelli for finishing 2nd at the regional tournament.  They will be representing Plano West at the state tennis tournament on May 5 and 6.  Also, the doubles team of Matt Andrus/Ben Guthrie finished 3rd, and the doubles team of Audrey Weygandt/Ashleigh Lickert finished 4th

YEARBOOKS ARE COMING!!!
Pick up your yearbooks on May 7 and 8 in the cafeteria!!  There are separate areas for personalized books and nonpersonalized books, so make sure you are in the right line.  If you did not purchase a yearbook and want to, there is a one day yearbook sale in the foyer Friday, May 9, at 8:30 a.m. for $100.  There is a limited supply, so one book per person, first come, first serve.  Come early with your cash or checks (checks made out to Plano West Senior High).

Practice exams will be given on Friday May 2 from 9 to 11 in rooms E600 & E601 Review session will held on Saturday May 10 from 9 to 12 in room A2046. Bring your macro packet from the fall semester.

CONGRATULATIONS GOLF TEAM – GOING TO STATE!

Plano West Boys won Regionals in Waco by 13 shots with a two day score of 590.  The individual scores were as follows:

  • Alex Moon           143 (73-70) (1st place)
  • Sumin Yu             148 (78-70)
  • John Rosener       151 (75-76)
  • Brett Spencer      152 (73-79)
  • Ryan Dagerman 153 (77-76)

State will be May 8th and 9th in Austin where for the second consecutive year both of Coach Hardison’s teams (boys and girls) advance. .
