(6)  Good things continue to happen at Vines!!  Pam Clark and Pauline Freeman have been selected to receive a 2009 Plano ISD Education Foundation Grant to Educators.

Pauline Freeman's grant is titled, "It's a Visual Thing."  "It's a Visual Thing" provides stimulating visuals for the art rooms to reinforce PISD's Discipline Based Art Education Program.  The visuals will cover many periods of art, offer a constant variety of learning opportunities and incorporate a multi sensory approach for high school art students for many years.  These valuable assets will enable our program's goals to be expanded by being able to include children will visual impairments, children with learning differences and other special needs.  The visuals can remain in the classroom throughout the entire lesson period as tools for visual learners thus increasing the number of students reached intellectually.

Pam Clark's grant is titled, "Color Connection." The money from this grant will assist the English dept. in the implementation of the Book Club by providing us with the ability to color code each novel's materials.

Please be sure to congratulate these teachers when you see them!!

Life continues to be good at Vines:)
