High School Initiatives
The major goal of the high school portion of the 2000 bond is to achieve classroom standards in the various content areas as well as support for new curriculum initiatives in various content areas. In particular:

• Academic Decathlon classrooms will receive two desktop computer systems, two laptop computers, a mounted TV, SVGA signal converter and VCR and necessary cabling and furniture.
• Advertising and Design classrooms will receive twenty "enhanced" desktop computer systems (PSHS only) for new lab, mounted video projection system and VCR, flatbed scanner, two networked color inkjet printers and necessary cabling and furniture.
• Agriculture and Canine Science classrooms will receive six desktop desktop computer systems, mounted TV, SVGA signal converter, VCR and microscope camera and necessary cabling and furniture.
• Art classrooms will receive three enhanced desktop computer systems with art tablets, a mounted TV, SVGA signal converter and VCR, a networked color inkjet printer, a flatbed scanner (1 per campus) and Photoshop software and necessary cabling and furniture.
• Auto Collision I & II classrooms will receive two desktop computer systems (PSHS and PESH), mounted TV, SVGA signal converter and VCR, and necessary cabling and furniture.
• Auto Tech I & II classrooms will receive three desktop computer systems (PSHS and PESH), mounted TV, SVGA signal converter and VCR, and necessary cabling and furniture.
• BCIS classrooms will receive a mounted TV, SVGA signal converter, VCR, flatbed scanner and networked color inkjet printer.
• Business Multimedia lab/Technology Applications classrooms will have existing computers upgraded to "enhanced" configuration, will receive a mounted video projection system and VCR, flatbed scanner, video camera, digital camera, networked color inkjet printer, laser printer and and necessary cabling and furniture.
• Choral Music classrooms will receive a mounted TV, SVGA signal converter and stereo VCR and laserdisc player.
• Crime in America classrooms will receive a mounted TV, SVGA signal converter and VCR.
• Drafting I & II classrooms will receive 19" monitors, mounted TV, SVGA signal converter and VCR and two networked color inkjet printers.
• English classrooms will be brought to a standard of six desktop computer systems, mounted video projection system and VCR, Elmo video image display (VID) device and and necessary cabling and furniture.
• Health classrooms will receive eight desktop computer systems, a mounted TV, SVGA signal converter and VCR, Elmo video image display (VID) device and and necessary cabling and furniture.
• Health Science classrooms will receive six desktop computer systems, a mounted TV, SVGA signal converter and VCR, Elmo video image display (VID) device, software and and necessary cabling and furniture.
• Journalism classrooms will receive four Macintosh computers, a mounted TV, SVGA signal converter and VCR, networked color inkjet printer, digital camera (1 per campus) and flatbed scanner (1 per school).
• Math classrooms will receive a mounted video projection system and VCR, overhead graphing calculator (6 per campus) and an Elmo video image display (VID) device.
• Reading classrooms will receive one desktop computer system, a mounted TV, SVGA signal converter and VCR, Elmo video image display (VID) device plus dyslexia software.
• ROTC classrooms will receive two desktop computer systems, one laptop computer, a mounted TV, SVGA signal converter and VCR, video camera with tripod, flatbed scanner, fax machine and necessary cabling and furniture.
• Science classrooms will receive a mounted video projection system and VCR, Lab Pro probeware and sensors.
• Social Studies classrooms will be brought to a standard of six desktop computer systems, mounted video projection system and VCR and necessary cabling and furniture.
• Speech classrooms will receive four desktop computer systems, mounted video projection system and VCR, video camera with tripod and CD/cassette recorder and necessary cabling and furniture.
• Theater classrooms will receive a mounted video projection system and VCR, video camera with tripod and Elmo video image display (VID) device.
• Any additional classrooms not configured as above will receive a mounted TV, SVGA signal converter and VCR.
• Each senior high school will receive up to ten additional digital cameras, laser printers as necessary to reach the standard classrooms/printer ratio, and up to two flatbed scanners as needed.
• All senior high school campuses will be affected as part of the overall replacement plan for technology equipment.
