This Organizing Idea is written to explore the concept of balance and stability as it affects energy resources and various events in the history of the United States from 1800 to the 1870s. Students will explore factors that affected the balance and stability of a young nation in the areas of government, economics, and territorial expansion.
ELA
The unit study includes a researched theme project-- Choose one incident where people had to team up to survive. Set purposes for researching the incident and create a multimedia presentation about it.
