Unit Contents

Students continue their study of earth science as they explore how the parts of the Earth interact to form landforms in regions of Texas. They research a Texas region with emphasis on the physical characteristics of the regions and how the climate interacts with natural resources. A study of rocks and minerals and their uses is integrated throughout the region study. Students then focus on the Native Americans of Texas and indigenous peoples of Central America and learn how explorers from Spain, Mexico, and France influenced the culture and establishment of life in Texas.
