Unit Contents
The concepts of continuity and change are examined in this unit of study. Students will investigate the meanings of the terms and think of things in their own lives that illustrate both continuity and change. Students will study Texas history from Statehood through the discovery of oil and explore and understand the changes that have occurred in the political structure and economics of the state. Students will discover the innovations that have been made to improve life and will predict the impact of future invention on life in Texas and the world. As students explore these inventions, they will also study the measurement of weather, construct weather instruments, learn to identify clouds, and review the water cycle
