Organizing Idea: Mankind and Nature In Harmony

Unit Contents

In this Organizing Idea students will learn about problems that occur due to pollution and how to care for their environment. They will study animal adaptations and ecosystems to learn how different species change and survive and to determine how living and nonliving things affect each other. Students will be reminded of the importance of our renewable, nonrenewable, and inexhaustible resources. They will review the regions of Texas and learn about the Blackland Prairie. The Interurban Railway will be discussed. Famous Texans will once again be a focus in this Organizing Idea.
