Students explore the diversity in animals, plants, objects, and people. By comparing and contrasting the live plants and animals with models students identify the criteria for living and nonliving things. Students discover the diversity of animal homes and habitats and create an animal with its habitat.
ELA
The 2nd Six Weeks contains two units, including theme related research:
Plants: Plants require a lot of care in order to grow. / What do plants need to grow? and
Amazing Creatures: Creatures come in all shapes and sizes. / What are some unusual creatures you have seen?
